Synopsis:
The Marauders sweep through the underground tunnels and slaughter the Morlocks. The X-Men finally get involved and engage the Marauders. The battle is a costly one, but they manage to drive off the Marauders. Colossus kills the Marauder called Riptide.

Jay's Notes:

  • The Mutant Massacre works its way through the X-Men #211-213, X-Factor #9-11, Thor #373-374, New Mutants #46, and Power Pack #27.
  • Nightcrawler is seriously injured.
  • Kitty is trapped in her phased form.

Synopsis:
Wolverine makes his way through the Morlock tunnels in search of survivors or any sign of the assassins. He has a run-in with Sabertooth. Wolverine cuts the battle short and escapes with the Morlock Healer. Meanwhile back at the mansion, the X-Men tried to help the injured and dying. Storm begins to doubt herself as leader and Callisto quickly sets her straight.

Jay's Notes:

  • Betsy Braddock, sister of Captain Britain, helps out the X-Men after her adventures in New Mutants Annual #2.
  • Colossus' injuries leave him paralyzed.
  • First mention of Mr. Sinister.

Synopsis:
Sabertooth attacks the Mansion and Psylocke is the only one left to defend it. She does an admirable job against him until the X-Men join the battle. Wolverine and Sabertooth round 2. Meanwhile, Psylocke probes Sabertooth's mind and learns detailed information about who was behind the Morlock Massacre. Sabertooth realizing he's been tricked decides to withdraw.

Synopsis:
Lila Cheney calls in the X-Men to help one of her band members Alison Blair, the Dazzler. The X-Men learn that she's been possessed by a Marauder caller herself Malice. An emotional battle with Malice hopping in and out of each X-Men finally ends as Storm resists her and casts her out.

Synopsis:
Storm splits the team up and sends Rogue, Psylocke, Dazzler, and Longshot to escort the the wounded X-Men to Moira MacTaggart's mutant research facility. Madelyne Summers is hunted down by the Marauders and left for dead. Wolverine and Storm investigate the arson of Jean Grey's sister's home. Wolverine picks up a scent that causes him to freak and accidentally knock out Storm. Storm awakens to find herself in the custody of three veteran super vigilantes who plan to kill her.

Synopsis:
Storm and a young drug dealer do their best to flee from vigilantes who have chosen to kill them to set an example. Wolverine joins Storm and they stand together against them. Storm defeats their leader Crimson Commando and convince them to turn themselves over to the authorities.

Synopsis:
The new team spends a bit of training time together and gets to know each other a little better. Dazzler, unsure of her place among the X-Men goes out for a night on the town and has a run-in with the Juggernaut. Instead of calling in her teammates, she tackles him by herself and does an admirable job, but fails nonetheless.

Synopsis:
Dazzler regroups with her teammates who prepare to go up against the Juggernaut who's rampaging in Edinburgh. The team comes together in their first real battle together and manage to defeat the Juggernaut. Unfortunately, they learn that his attack was just a diversion as his partner-in-crime Black Tom pulled off a heist elsewhere.

Synopsis:
Haunted by nightmares, Havok decides to visit the X-Men as he believes something terrible has happened to them. After a bit of an ordeal tracking them down, Havok is brought up to speed on recent events and decides to rejoin the team. Meanwhile, the woman he loves, Polaris, is attacked by the Marauders and possessed by Malice.

She does, however, find Naze, one of Forge's friends, who is also looking for him They decide to work together to find Forge.
