Synopsis:  
Kitty's parents decide to withdraw her from Xavier's school and transfer her to the Massachusetts Academy, which is run by the Hellfire Club's White Queen, Emma Frost. Storm accompanies Kitty and she's attacked by Ms. Frost. Frost uses her mental powers to switch their minds. Meanwhile, the X-Men are under attack by Sentinels, sent by the Black King Sebastian Show. Frost, in Storm's body attacks her battle weary teammates and captures them.

Synopsis:  
Storm, in Frost's body, escapes from the Massachusetts Academy with Kitty, and convinces Kitty of her identity. They come to the rescue of the captured X-Men and then join them in battle against the Hellfire Club. The X-Men come out on top and Storm is restored to her proper body.

Synopsis:  
While the X-Men clean-up after last issue battle, Kitty tells Illyana a bedtime story. It's a swashbuckling adventure that features the X-Men in a fantasy world. The players team up together against the threat of the Dark Phoenix. Fortunately, in this world, this story ends with a happy ending.

  • Carol Danvers makes a cameo appearance since she's staying with the X-Men after the events of Avengers Annual #10.

Synopsis:  
Professor X decides to move the X-Men's center of operations to Magneto's island (see issue #150). Meanwhile, Corsair crash lands on Earth and is rescued by Cyclops and Storm. Cyclops finally learns that Corsair is his father. However, their reunion is cut short as they are attacked by Sidri bounty hunters. They manage to defeat the Sidri and Corsair informs them that Lilandra, Empress of the Shi'ar has been kidnapped.

Synopsis:  
All the X-Men, including Corsair, are beamed aboard the Shi'ar Imperial Cruiser. Professor X invokes his rights as Lilandra's consort and sets off to find Lilandra leaving behind Kitty and Nightcrawler as a guarantee of good faith to the Shi'ar Chancellor. Unfortunately, the Avengers and the FF are out of town, but Tigra joins their cause. They are attacked by Deathbird and a Brood drone. The battle goes poorly. Professor X is taken captive by Deathbird and Colossus is apparently mortally wounded.

Synopsis:  
The StarJammers come to the rescue. They grab the X-Men, patch up Colossus, and pursue Deathbird, who is holding Professor X and Lilandra captive. They are lead to a living bioship that houses a Brood colony. The X-Men and StarJammers manage to free Professor X and Lilandra, but their ship is damaged. Unfortunately, the deadline given to the X-Men to rescue Lilandra has almost run out, and if the Shi'ar Imperial Cruiser isn't notified they will attack and destroy Earth. 

Jay's Notes: 

  • The StarJammers' medical robot Sikorsky has an annoying Yoda-like speech pattern.

Uncanny X-Men # 157: "Hide-'N'-Seek!"

Synopsis:
The X-Men and StarJammers rush to repair their ship. Professor X tries to reach out to Nightcrawler and Kitty, but he's attacked and pushed into a coma. Meanwhile, Chancellor Araki is killed by Admiral Samedar who orders the attack on Earth. However, Nightcrawler and Kitty get through to the Imperial Guard and keep Samedar busy long enough for the X-Men and StarJammers to arrive. They deliver Lilandra and she's quick to restore order.

Synopsis:  
The Imperial Guard Oracle attempts to pull Professor X out of his coma, but fails. Meanwhile, Senator Kelly takes a tough, hard line against the X-Men. The X-Men, who worked for the government in their early adventures, infiltrate the Pentagon to wipe out all the data the government has on them. Unfortunately, they run into Mystique and Rogue. However, Carol Danvers puts a computer virus into the government computers, and she also destroys her files. 

Jay's Notes:

  • Rogue's 2nd appearance. See Avengers Annual #10 for her first appearance.
  • This issue serves as an epilogue to Ms Marvel's career.

Synopsis:  
Storm is hospitalized after apparently being assaulted by a mugger. She heals remarkably fast and the X-Men unfortunately learn that she actually fell prey to the Lord of the Vampires, Dracula. The X-Men battle against Dracula, while Kitty confronts Storm, who has gone over to the dark side. However, Kitty's confrontation restores Storm and she helps the X-Men drive off Dracula.

Synopsis:  
Belasco, the Demon Lord of Limbo, kidnaps Colossus' little sister Illyana. The X-Men go after her and battle their way through the demon S'ym to confront Belasco. With the help of an aged alternate Storm, who has tapped into her magical potential during her life-long exile in Limbo, they rescue Illyana. Unfortunately, the Illyana they rescue spent seven years in Limbo and now returns to Earth as a young woman.
